Challenge
How do we connect with our roots and heal our mountains?
After the devastating fire in Bogotá's Cerros Orientales, a crucial challenge arose: how can we reconnect with our natural heritage in a respectful and meaningful way?
- The integration of traditional environmental practices guided by indigenous communities.
- Building bridges between Bogota's urban identity and our ancestral roots
- A non-invasive approach that respects the natural regeneration process.
Discover how we are weaving these links between city and mountain, between present and ancestry, by visiting our website: Ancestral Harmonies Website
Together, we can be part of the healing and reconnection with our tutelary hills.

Goal
Ancestral Harmonies: A Collective Healing Ritual
Through four transformative moments:
The Ashes
Generative projections of the devastated forest are intertwined with rituals guided by ancestral wisdom-keepers. Sounds captured from the hills and collective performances connect us with the pain of loss.
Los Brotes
The creation of "activator trees" by the participants catalyzes change. The first signs of life emerge in the projections as the sound space evolves, marking the beginning of regeneration.
El Renacer
Somatic performances and OPIAC teachings guide our reconnection with nature. Interactive installations respond to the presence of visitors, merging their silhouettes with the growing forest.
Reforestation
The space reaches its maximum transformation: projections of a vibrant forest, immersive sound interventions and a collection of collective works that celebrate the resilience of our hills.
A living experience that, like the forest itself, regenerates and transforms with each ritual, each visitor and each shared moment.

The result
A multisensory art installation that will transform the MAMU parking lot during August 2024.
Through generative projections, ritual performances, soundscapes and collective creation, the work evolves like the forest itself: from the ashes of fires to its full regeneration. Visitors will not only witness this transformation, but will be an active part of it through the creation of "activator trees", participation in ancestral rituals and their own interaction with the space, where their silhouettes merge with the ever-changing digital forest.
